About the position

The Development and Database Administrator at Heritage Conservancy is responsible for managing donor data and health processes to support the organization's development efforts. This part-time role involves processing gifts, maintaining accurate records, and generating reports to enhance donor engagement and relationships. The position is critical for ensuring data integrity and supporting the Development team in their outreach and fundraising initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the donor database, including biographical and financial information.
  • Create and maintain reports for the Development team, committees, and Board of Directors.
  • Execute data management guidelines and processes for optimal data health.
  • Manage full data entry processes and improve current processes.
  • Oversee the acknowledgment process for all donations, adhering to tax receipt protocols.
  • Respond to donor inquiries and communicate complex issues to the appropriate team member.
  • Provide administrative support to the Development Team and assist with meeting coordination.
  • Schedule, attend, and take minutes for board and committee meetings.
  • Assist in preparation for Board of Directors and Committee meetings, including materials and logistics coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in nonprofit administration, particularly in donor management and data systems.
  • Full proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Direct experience working in and managing a donor database (DonorPerfect preferred).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
