About the position

The Development and Marketing Coordinator at M4M plays a vital role in fostering relationships with volunteers and donors to support the organization's mission. This position involves donor development, marketing campaign coordination, and administrative tasks, working closely with the Executive Director and Director of Operations to achieve fundraising goals and enhance community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Executive Director to develop and implement comprehensive donor engagement strategies.
  • Identify potential funding sources, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Evaluate fundraising trends and adjust strategies to maximize revenue generation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors through personalized communication, meetings, and events.
  • Lead donor stewardship programs to ensure ongoing engagement and support.
  • Plan, organize, and execute fundraising events and campaigns, including donor receptions and online fundraising drives.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns across various platforms.
  • Develop marketing materials such as brochures, email newsletters, and social media posts.
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor social media content and track performance metrics.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts for events and ensure branding consistency.
  • Engage consistently with the donor base through emails and phone calls.
  • Perform data entry in Salesforce and manage bank transactions including deposits.
  • Prepare regular reports for the executive director, board of directors, and funders on fundraising activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, communications, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a development or marketing role within a nonprofit organization.
  • Proven track record of success in nonprofit fundraising and donor cultivation.
  • Experience using marketing platforms and managing social media content.
  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with fundraising software and CRM systems, such as Salesforce.
