About the position

The Development and Operations Coordinator at GiGi's Playhouse, Inc. is responsible for promoting the organization and raising awareness about Down syndrome within the local community. This role involves community outreach, partnership development, and managing social media presence to engage families, donors, and volunteers. The coordinator will also handle administrative tasks, fundraising efforts, and marketing initiatives to ensure the Playhouse's mission is effectively communicated and supported.

Responsibilities

  • Promote GiGi's Playhouse and Down syndrome awareness through social media and community outreach events.
  • Develop partnerships with local businesses and organizations to secure sponsorships and fundraising opportunities.
  • Maintain the physical appearance of the Playhouse and ensure a welcoming environment for families and donors.
  • Manage office organization, including ordering supplies and handling visitor interactions.
  • Track incoming donations and registrations for events, ensuring accurate data management in Salesforce.
  • Create and implement a social media content strategy to promote programs and events.
  • Collaborate with national office staff and other GiGi's Playhouse locations to share best practices.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook).
  • Experience in fund development, event management, and marketing is preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders including families, volunteers, and community organizations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Salesforce and One Cause Fundraising Platform.
  • Background in education or related fields.
