About the position

The Development and Operations Coordinator at GiGi's Playhouse is responsible for promoting the organization and its mission to change perceptions of Down syndrome through community engagement, social media, and partnership development. This role involves securing sponsorships, organizing community outreach events, and ensuring a welcoming environment at the Playhouse. The coordinator will also manage administrative tasks, fundraising efforts, and marketing initiatives to enhance community awareness and participation in programs.

Responsibilities

• Promote GiGi's Playhouse and Down syndrome awareness in the local community through social media and outreach events.
• Develop partnerships with local businesses and organizations to secure sponsorships and fundraising opportunities.
• Maintain the physical appearance of the Playhouse, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment.
• Manage office organization, including ordering supplies and handling visitor interactions.
• Track donations and registrations for events, ensuring accurate data management using Salesforce.
• Create and implement a social media content strategy to promote programs and events.
• Participate in national training and ensure compliance with brand guidelines.

Requirements

• Education and experience in fund development, event management, and marketing are preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook).
• Experience with Salesforce and One Cause Fundraising Platform is a plus.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
