About the position

The Development Assistant/Database Manager will support the Director of Development in executing fundraising strategies for the National Infantry Museum Foundation. This role involves managing the organization's database and assisting with various fundraising activities and events, ensuring effective communication and organization throughout the processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all fundraising activities and events, including direct mail and online fundraising campaigns.
  • Serve as the Foundation liaison to the volunteer silent auction committee for the annual 'Salute to Soldiers' Gala.
  • Help maintain and grow the 1775 Society Member Stewardship Renewal Program and donor appreciation/recruitment events.
  • Manage the sponsorship program, including Premier Partners and Sustaining Sponsors.
  • Oversee comprehensive management of the database, including gift processing, acknowledgments, and report generation.
  • Perform data entry of all financial gifts and prepare mailing lists for fundraising campaigns.
  • Act as the Foundation liaison to the Columbus Cultural Arts Alliance.
  • Conduct development administrative work as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1 year of fundraising experience required.
  • 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Computer proficiency for data entry, analysis, and communication.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with database management software.
  • Knowledge of fundraising strategies and techniques.
