About the position

The Development Associate position in Human Resources at Trustmark National Bank is part of a new graduate development program aimed at cultivating future leaders in the financial services industry. This role offers a comprehensive leadership curriculum over the first twelve months, focusing on personal and professional development through mentorship, hands-on assignments, and exposure to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Talent Development Manager in performing OD interventions such as Team Effectiveness and Assessment Services process and change management activities.
  • Perform, coordinate, and administer various OD functions including career counseling, coaching, 360 assessments, and succession planning.
  • Coordinate program schedules for Trustmark's development programs including Emerging Talent, Development Associate Program, Interns, Co-ops, and Technical Development Analyst.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Applied Psychology, or Human Resources with an emphasis in the relevant field.
  • Scheduled to graduate on or before June 2025.
  • Prior experience with Excel, including the ability to learn Pivot tables and v-lookups.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, analytical with demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle complex projects with urgency and confidentiality, adaptability to change, and results-oriented.

Nice-to-haves

  • Internship or prior work experience in a related field.
  • Enthusiasm and genuine interest in developing a career with Trustmark and the financial industry.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
