The Development Associate, School Engagement at the American Heart Association plays a crucial role in advancing the organization's mission by engaging students, parents, and school administrators. This full-time, seasonal position focuses on promoting heart health initiatives through school programs, providing customer service, and supporting fundraising efforts. The role involves extensive travel to various school sites, facilitating presentations, and ensuring effective communication with educational partners.

Responsibilities

• Support the Development team and participating schools with customer service and administrative support.
• Lead school assemblies and presentations to promote heart health initiatives.
• Provide on-site and remote service to schools, assisting with email campaigns and scheduling meetings.
• Perform data entry and donation processing within established standards and policies.
• Conduct an average of 40 school site visits each week to engage with students and educators.

Requirements

• Experience with or aptitude for driving fundraising initiatives with schools and students.
• Strong customer service and teamwork orientation.
• Effective organizational, detail management, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt and present to a wide range of audiences from kindergarteners to adults.
