About the position

The Development Coordinator, reporting to the Development Database Manager, is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date constituent records in Raiser's Edge: Next Generation, including gift processing, query generation, and mailings. The coordinator will assist in managing in-kind donations, ensuring proper receipting, storage, and distribution. Additionally, the Coordinator will provide event support by managing participant registrations, donations, and attendance, as well as offering on-site assistance during events. Strong collaborative, organizational, analytical, computer, and communication skills are required. Responsibilities

  • Accurately input and update donor, contact, and relationship information into the Raiser's Edge: Next Generation (RE:NXT) database.
  • Assist with the entry and processing of gifts, ensuring all contributions are accurately recorded and linked to the appropriate donor records.
  • Maintain the integrity of all database entries by regularly reviewing and cleaning up constituent records.
  • Acknowledge and thank donors promptly, sending receipts or letters for tax purposes.
  • Respond to staff requests for database queries, mailing lists, and other custom data extractions.
  • Ensure data entry complies with organizational standards and best practices.
  • Regularly generate and assist with reports to monitor data accuracy, donor trends, and other metrics.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure data is correctly entered, updated, and used to support broader organizational goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of in-kind donations, tracking inventory levels.
  • Oversee the logistics for the pickup, transportation, and delivery of in-kind donations.
  • Assist in organizing and managing in-kind donations for seasonal drives.
  • Enter event participant registrations, donations, and attendance records into Raiser's Edge database.
  • Attend and provide on-site data entry and logistical support for agency fundraisers and cultivation events.
  • Assist in recognizing and thanking all event participants.
  • Collaborate with staff to solicit, organize, and distribute in-kind donations for event activities.
  • Attend required agency training courses related to trauma-informed care.
  • Complete annual People & Culture evaluations and updates.
  • Provide administrative assistance as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or certification in database management, or a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a fundraising environment.
  • Experience with Raiser's Edge and familiarity with its modules or similar database technology is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to set priorities and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong presentation, computer, communication, and well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow through on deadlines and meet goals.
  • Flexible and takes initiative; ability to work independently and maintain productivity requirements.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to participate in the development and implementation of continuous quality improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively with youth, staff, volunteers, donors, and vendors in a culturally diverse, and inclusive environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to maintain accurate records and manage inventories effectively.
  • In-depth understanding of the fundraising process.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit operations and the role of in-kind donations in supporting broader fundraising and service-delivery goals.
  • No history of child abuse or neglect.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screening requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs as needed.
