The Development Coordinator's primary role is supporting the efforts of the Development department, including the museum membership programs and event logistics and planning, under the direction of the Director of Institutional Advancement. The position is responsible for implementing all components of membership, including approved strategy and administration of membership recruitment efforts, data management, reporting and analysis, as well as accurate and timely fulfillment of membership processing, acknowledgements, and member requests. As a representative of the museum's Development Department, the Development Coordinator must excel at working with the public. The Development Coordinator also provides general administrative support to the Development team, performing a variety of tasks ensuring that the day-to-day functions of the Development Department are achieved. The Development Coordinator will be trained to assist with the maintenance of the constituent database. Ongoing training and professional development opportunities will also be offered in this role with the goal of becoming a power user of the constituent database.
