About the position

As a Development Freeride Coach (JETS) at Vail Resorts, you will have the unique opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful mountain environments while sharing your passion for snowsports with guests of all ages. This position is part of our Winter Seasonal 2024/2025 program, where you will be responsible for delivering high-quality ski and snowboard instruction to both groups and individuals. Your role will not only involve teaching essential skills but also ensuring that every guest has a memorable and enjoyable experience on the slopes. You will be part of a dynamic team that values safety, fun, and world-class guest service. In this role, you will engage with guests from diverse backgrounds, helping them to develop their skills and confidence in skiing or snowboarding. You will be expected to create a positive learning environment, adapting your teaching methods to meet the varying needs of your students. Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality ski/snowboard instruction to groups and individuals.

  • Engage with guests to enhance their skiing or snowboarding experience.

Requirements

  • Passion for snowsports and the outdoors.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively teach and engage with guests.
  • Experience in skiing or snowboarding, preferably with teaching experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience as a ski or snowboard instructor.
  • Certification in ski/snowboard instruction.
