The Development Manager for Affordable Housing at JF Development Group will be a key player in driving the company's mission to provide affordable housing solutions across Utah and Idaho. This senior-level role requires a comprehensive understanding of the entire development process, from initial acquisition to project completion. The successful candidate will oversee various aspects of affordable housing development, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the quality standards set forth by the organization. The Development Manager will be responsible for conducting thorough due diligence, including feasibility analysis, market research, and site selection, to identify and secure viable development opportunities. In addition to project feasibility, the Development Manager will oversee the planning, design, and entitlements of projects, collaborating closely with internal teams and external consultants to develop project concepts and secure necessary approvals. This role will also involve working with construction teams to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality requirements, with a specific focus on affordable housing standards. The Development Manager will be tasked with developing and managing project budgets, conducting financial analyses, and ensuring that projects meet financial goals while leveraging available funding sources, including public subsidies. Engagement with local authorities, community groups, financial partners, and other stakeholders is crucial to align project goals and ensure that community needs are met. The Development Manager will also mentor and manage junior development staff, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment. Regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, risks, and key milestones will be a critical part of this role, as will ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning, environmental, and housing compliance requirements.
