About the position

The Development Manager is responsible for the growth and development of the Big Boy Restaurant Franchise System, focusing on maintaining strong relationships with both franchisors and franchisees. This role involves franchise sales, real estate site selection, project management, and ongoing support for existing franchisees, ensuring the successful expansion and operation of the franchise network.

Responsibilities

• Initial contact with prospective franchisees and follow-up with franchise offering materials.
• Market chain concepts through participation in trade shows, conventions, and publication advertising.
• Make contact with real estate brokers and developers for site selection and demographic surveys.
• Manage the process for individuals or entities becoming Big Boy Franchisees, including application analysis and coordination of interviews.
• Work with marketing and advertising agencies on franchise offering development materials.
• Assist in the design and development of prototype models for Big Boy concepts.
• Maintain ongoing contact with existing franchisees to troubleshoot and provide support.
• Participate in brand development, new product offerings, and policy adjustments.
• Support outside events such as grand openings and community events.

Requirements

• Experience in franchise sales and development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze real estate opportunities and demographic data.
• Project management experience.
• Familiarity with marketing and advertising processes.
