About the position

Exciting position as Development Manager available to plan, organize, and direct the fundraising efforts of Vernon Memorial Healthcare, Inc. and Vernon Memorial Healthcare Foundation, Inc. This essential role will create and implement a fund development plan that includes major gifts programs, annual fund raising, planned giving, special events and capital campaigns. Will also oversee the operations of the volunteer program, assist with grant writing and serve as the primary liaison to the Friends of VMH.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct fundraising efforts for Vernon Memorial Healthcare and its Foundation.
• Create and implement a fund development plan including major gifts programs, annual fundraising, planned giving, special events, and capital campaigns.
• Oversee the operations of the volunteer program.
• Assist with grant writing.
• Serve as the primary liaison to the Friends of VMH.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of two years experience in fund development for a non-profit entity.
• Relevant experience in all aspects of fundraising.
• Experience with computer software applications.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to meet time constraints and deadline commitments.
• Ability to effectively relate to the public and present VMH and the Foundation positively.
