The NAACP Legal Defense & Educational Fund, Inc. (LDF) is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and passionate Development Project Administrator to provide essential administrative support to the Chief Development Officer (CDO) and the Development Department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the department's activities, which include drafting correspondence, conducting research on donor and prospect information, developing prospect lists, coordinating meetings, and responding to various requests from the CDO. The Development Project Administrator will play a crucial role in managing the department's database, specifically using Blackbaud Raiser's Edge, to organize and extract large amounts of data effectively. In this position, the Development Project Administrator will serve as the point person for all matters assigned by the CDO, providing tactical, logistical, and administrative support. This includes updating presentations, preparing for Board and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) meetings, and following up on all donor and prospect interactions. The role also involves conducting research on institutional and individual donors, coordinating virtual programs to engage and steward donors, and managing the CDO's calendar, including meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing customized acknowledgment letters and other correspondence to support the management of the CDO's portfolio and other Senior Leadership members' gift officers' portfolios. As LDF has transitioned to a hybrid work environment, candidates should be prepared to work in the office at least two days per week. The organization is committed to achieving racial justice and equality, and the Development Project Administrator will contribute to this mission by supporting the fundraising efforts that enable LDF to continue its impactful work in civil and human rights.
