About the position

The Development & Research Assistant position at BYU-Hawaii is designed for entry-level students, particularly freshmen or sophomores, who are looking to gain practical experience in development project management and research. The role involves assisting in the creation and maintenance of development project plans, conducting guest satisfaction research, and providing insights to aid in strategic decision-making for the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC).

Responsibilities

  • Performs initial screenings of product and service development proposals.
  • Coordinates and conducts guest satisfaction research studies on PCC products and services.
  • Analyzes guest data and communicates findings and recommendations to PCC Management.
  • Works closely with the Development & Research Project Coordinator and other departments to prepare for the launch of new products and services.
  • Tracks and reports on owned projects to keep the team and management informed about project statuses.
  • Utilizes development and research software programs and hardware to assist in project management and analysis.

Requirements

  • Basic foundational knowledge in development and research processes.
  • Ability to assist in project planning and execution with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with development and research software such as Workfront, TEAMS, Python, R, Power BI, and Qualtrics.
  • Previous experience in a research or development role.
