About the position

Titan Technologies is seeking a Development, Security and Operations Engineer (DevSecOps) to support a Federal Government Agency. The role focuses on integrating security into the DevOps processes, ensuring that security measures are applied throughout the software development lifecycle, from development to deployment. The engineer will work on developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with various teams to implement DevSecOps practices, and ensuring compliance with security standards in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate security into the customer's DevOps processes, ensuring that security measures are applied throughout the software development lifecycle from development to deployment.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and security checks to streamline secure software delivery in both cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to design and implement DevSecOps practices, ensuring that security, compliance, and privacy requirements are embedded into each phase of development.
  • Implement security tools and protocols to protect customer applications and cloud environments, including vulnerability scanning, security monitoring, and incident response automation.
  • Ensure that cloud environments (both classified and unclassified) adhere to secure coding practices and security compliance standards, including encryption, identity management, and network security.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps roles, with deep expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Expertise in secure coding practices, vulnerability management, and DevSecOps best practices.
  • Certifications: Certified DevOps Professional (CDP), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Software Engineering, or related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience integrating DevSecOps into cloud-based environments within federal IT systems, ensuring compliance with federal security standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Hands-on experience with automation and security tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Snyk, or Checkmarx.
  • Knowledge of security monitoring and logging frameworks, including SIEM solutions.
