About the position

The CPA Endowment Fund of Illinois, the charitable partner of the Illinois CPA Society, is dedicated to supporting diverse and deserving accounting students and aspiring CPAs through scholarship and outreach programs. We are seeking an organized individual with a strong attention to detail to provide operational and administrative support. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth functioning of our operations and enhancing our fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing donations, maintaining accurate records, assisting with fundraising campaigns, and managing meetings and relationships with donors and the Board of Directors. In this position, you will provide comprehensive operational and administrative support, which includes managing the donor database to ensure that all information is accurate and up-to-date. You will be tasked with processing donations, tracking pledges, and handling donor acknowledgments. Additionally, you will facilitate third-party donations and manage the Fund's web content. Supporting the Board of Directors and its committees is a key aspect of this role, where you will serve as the primary liaison for Board communications, coordinate meetings, prepare materials, manage logistics, and document proceedings. You will also assist in the development and execution of fundraising initiatives, supporting campaigns aimed at increasing donor awareness and engagement. Maintaining donor relationships and identifying potential donors will be part of your responsibilities, along with collaborating on the creation of impact reports and supporting Women's Committee fundraising initiatives. Furthermore, you will prepare and administer gift agreements and invoices, coordinate program implementation, and maintain regular communication with donors about the impact of their contributions. Financial management and reporting will also be part of your duties, where you will monitor budgets, financial statements, and forecasts, and collaborate with accounting staff on reconciliations and fund management. Lastly, you will assist with scholarship and outreach programs, tracking and analyzing program data to assess the impact and effectiveness of donor-supported initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the creation of impact reports and support Women's Committee fundraising initiatives.
  • Support the stewardship of current and potential named endowed fund major donors.
  • Prepare and administer gift agreements and invoices.
  • Coordinate program implementation and maintain regular communication with donors about the impact of their contributions.
  • Coordinate financial management and reporting.
  • Monitor budgets, financial statements, and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with accounting staff on reconciliations and fund management.
  • Prepare and analyze reports on donor engagement and fundraising activities.
  • Assist with scholarship and outreach programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field preferred.
  • An associate's degree combined with relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a related professional setting preferred.
  • Passion for nonprofit work with a strong interest in developing skills in fundraising/resource development and board volunteer support.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated administrative, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communications skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), with a willingness to learn additional programs as necessary.
  • High level of ethics and integrity, with the ability to handle confidential matters.
