About the position

The Scrum Master at Ford Motor Company plays a crucial role in facilitating Agile practices within the development team. This position is responsible for leading daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives, while collaborating closely with the product owner to ensure that the product backlog is well-defined and prioritized. The Scrum Master will also coach the team on Agile methodologies, remove impediments to progress, and foster a culture of continuous improvement, ultimately driving the team's efficiency and effectiveness in delivering results.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective meetings.
  • Collaborate with the product owner to define product backlog items and prioritize them.
  • Work with the development team to articulate work into backlog items and ensure timely completion.
  • Identify and remove impediments blocking the team's progress.
  • Track and report on sprint progress and team velocity.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and help the team identify areas for improvement.
  • Coach and mentor the development team on Agile methodology and Scrum framework.
  • Serve as a servant leader to foster growth and maximize value.
  • Deliver results through Agile methodologies and continuous improvement.
  • Engage with teams, leaders, and POCs to define product requirements and deliverables.
  • Customize Jira dashboards to review key metrics and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or higher.
  • Project Management with Agile (Certificate).
  • Scrum Master Certification.
  • SAFe® 6 Scrum Master (Certificate), Scaled Agile Framework.
  • 2+ years' experience in Project Management.
