About the position

The Developmental Disabilities Program Manager at ND Health and Human Services is responsible for managing and coordinating services for individuals with developmental disabilities, primarily focusing on children from birth to mid-teens. This role involves assessing needs, developing service plans, and ensuring access to necessary resources to help individuals achieve developmental milestones and greater independence in their communities. The position requires flexibility in hours to meet the needs of clients and involves travel within specific counties in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program management and service coordination for developmental disability services.
  • Identify, assess, and collect data on individuals' needs.
  • Complete case plans and Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
  • Assist individuals and families in accessing funding and support services.
  • Coordinate and monitor the provision of developmental disabilities funded services.
  • Maintain accurate client records.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine or a mid-level Master's degree in relevant fields.
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, child development, or related fields.
  • One year of experience as a DD Program Manager I in the ND Department of Health & Human Services or equivalent experience as a Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP).
  • Valid driver's license.
