About the position

The DevOps Engineer will play a crucial role in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software systems and applications. This position requires a high level of independence and competence in handling complex technical problems, ensuring high standards of software quality, and driving application development that delivers business value. The role involves direct communication with end users and internal customers to guide development and testing processes, as well as performing integrated testing and customer acceptance testing.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of software systems and applications.
  • Perform programming, project management, and development assignments without close supervision.
  • Identify and resolve complex application and technical problems, including off-shift and weekend support calls.
  • Drive application development focused on delivering business valuable features.
  • Maintain high standards of software quality by establishing good practices and habits within the team.
  • Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
  • Communicate with end users and internal customers to direct development, debugging, and testing of application software.
  • Perform integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of components.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of software development experience or at least 3 years of experience with a master's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Experience in automating and implementing identity and security policies for cloud infrastructure (AWS).
  • Experience in tools administration supporting large organizations.
  • Strong background working with revision control systems (Git, etc.).
  • Experience managing continuous integration systems (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).
  • Experience with IDE tools (VSCode, Eclipse, IntelliJ, etc.).
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on CI/CD pipelines.

Nice-to-haves

  • AWS Cloud Practitioner certification.
  • Additional AWS certifications related to architecture or security.
  • Experience working with data development tools (Erwin, Erwin DIS, Alteryx, etc.).
  • Experience with developer productivity tools (Waydev, GitPrime, Flow, etc.).
  • Experience integrating enterprise access management (AzureAD, Ping, AD/LDAP).
  • Great verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
