The DevOps Engineer will play a crucial role in understanding customer requirements and project KPIs, ensuring that the development and operational processes align with the overall project goals. This position involves implementing various development, testing, and automation tools, as well as managing the IT infrastructure necessary for successful project execution. The engineer will be responsible for planning the team structure and activities, actively participating in project management activities to ensure smooth operations and stakeholder satisfaction. In this role, the engineer will manage stakeholders and external interfaces, setting up the necessary tools and infrastructure to support DevOps operations. This includes defining and establishing development, testing, release, update, and support processes that are essential for the effective functioning of the DevOps lifecycle. The engineer must possess the technical skills to review, verify, and validate the software code developed within the project, ensuring high-quality deliverables. Troubleshooting techniques will be employed to fix code bugs, and the engineer will monitor processes throughout the entire lifecycle to ensure adherence to established protocols. Continuous improvement is a key focus, with an emphasis on minimizing waste and encouraging the automation of processes wherever feasible. The engineer will also be responsible for identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures, conducting vulnerability assessments, and managing risks associated with the project. Incidence management and root cause analysis will be part of the responsibilities, along with effective coordination and communication within the team and with customers. The selection and deployment of appropriate CI/CD tools will be critical to the role, as the engineer strives for continuous improvement and builds a robust CI/CD pipeline. Mentoring and guiding team members will also be an essential aspect of this position, along with monitoring and measuring customer experience and KPIs. Periodic reporting on progress to management and customers will be required to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged.
