About the position

The DevOps Engineer role focuses on introducing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance the software development life cycle, ensuring security, availability, and integrity of database systems. This position involves administering and optimizing database performance, collaborating with various teams to implement best practices, and managing large-scale software projects effectively.

Responsibilities

• Introduce processes, tools, and methodologies throughout the software development life cycle.
• Administer, maintain, develop, and implement policies for the Database Management System (DBMS).
• Monitor, administer, and implement performance on database systems, including optimization and redesigning database structures.
• Ensure efficient delivery of software engineering capabilities using industry standards.
• Build new Microsoft SQL Server Instances within on-premise architecture.
• Mitigate risks, control costs, and manage schedule variance in large-scale software projects.
• Coordinate database architecture changes with Database Engineers.
• Create database structures and interfaces to meet customer requirements.

Requirements

• Proficiency in database architecture and DBMS.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL.
• Knowledge of database installation and tools.
• Ability to direct the administration and use of current and emerging database tools.
• Experience in database and software life-cycle activities.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification in SQL Server Management Studio.
• Certification in SQL Server Enterprise 2022.
