About the position

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, coding, and delivering high-performing software solutions that leverage artificial intelligence, cloud, and machine learning technologies. This role involves working collaboratively within a small team to develop scalable software products for leading organizations and governments, ensuring speed and agility in delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Own tasks (dev, test, deployment) at an application/software component level
  • Troubleshoot and refactor existing code
  • Adopt new languages and architecture patterns as needed
  • Influence team decisions
  • Assist peers and less experienced members
  • Support the application continuously and perform On-Call Duties
  • Represent the team during client calls and handle critical issues

Requirements

  • Strong programming skills in three or more languages (e.g., DevOps, Splunk, SQL, Unix Shell Scripting)
  • Understanding and implementation of standard branching (e.g., Gitflow) and peer review practices
  • Experience with tools like Jenkins for code quality and anti-patterns measurement
  • Familiarity with Bit Bucket and code deployment tools like Jenkins
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) concepts
  • Knowledge of configuration management using tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Artifactory, Jenkins, Git, Sonar)
  • Ability to understand different application business flows and assist customers in resolving issues
  • Possess SRE skill set and ability to handle various tasks
