About the position

As a DevOps Engineer at Pilot, you will play a crucial role in supporting and maturing an existing Azure environment where DevOps practices are being established. This position focuses on bridging the gap between development and infrastructure, enhancing deployment automation, and leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies. You will be responsible for navigating infrastructure deployment, supporting applications and pipelines, and addressing migration challenges while collaborating with a team that has a strong background in networking and systems.

Responsibilities

• Support an existing Azure environment where DevOps practices are being established.
• Enhance deployment automation and leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies using Terraform.
• Navigate infrastructure deployment and support applications and pipelines for deployments.
• Assist in documentation and untangling the current state and environment from previous projects.
• Support SQL database infrastructure provisioning and deployments, Azure Managed Instances, and more.
• Focus on networking concepts like V-Net configuration, subnet configuration, and network mapping.

Requirements

• Strong experience in an Azure based DevOps environment including Azure services such as Key Vaults, Functional Apps, Azure DevOps, Service Bus, and Entra ID.
• Strong experience in an IaC / deployment automation environment, specifically using Terraform.
• Demonstrated history of working as a developer to support SDLC projects and understanding the intersection of software and infrastructure.

• Experience with Python for scripting.
