About the position

The Senior DevSecOps Engineer at SAIC will support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center by contributing to the Secret and Below Releasable Environment (SABRE) program within Air Force Cloud One. This remote position involves migrating legacy applications to a cloud environment, ensuring security and compliance while enhancing automation and continuous integration/deployment processes. The role offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in a critical technology sector while serving the Department of Defense (DoD) customers.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and SRE principles.
  • Maintain and develop automation and continuous build/integration/deployment infrastructure for multiple environments; write, build and deploy scripts.
  • Enable observability and resilience throughout multi-cloud landing zones and Dev/Test/Prod environments.
  • Support implementation of security policies, standards, guidelines, and governance.
  • Continuously assess, onboard, and enable new FedRAMP cloud services using security best practices for IAM and networking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience, or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance.
  • Proven background working in cloud environments with experience in Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience with Agile collaboration tools such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, Artifactory).
  • Experience with CSPs including Azure, AWS, or OCI.
  • Knowledge of containerization and container management with Kubernetes and Helm.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell or Bash Scripting.
  • Experience with security automation tools such as SAST and DAST.
  • Familiarity with cyber tools like Aviatrix, Orca, Splunk, Qmulous, and STIG scanner.
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
  • Knowledge of Git, branching strategies, GitFlow and/or GitHub Flow.
  • Understanding of cloud high availability and scalability best practices and architectures.
