About the position

As a DevSecOps Engineer at TEKsystems, you will play a crucial role in integrating security practices within the software development lifecycle (SDLC). This position is designed for individuals who have a strong background in software engineering and are looking to leverage their skills in a DevSecOps environment. You will be responsible for developing customized CI/CD systems, primarily using Jenkins and Concourse, with a preference for Concourse. Your expertise in cloud-native engineering will be essential as you work with technologies such as Kubernetes and Terraform to ensure robust cloud configurations. In this role, you will design and integrate automated security controls into existing SDLC processes. This includes validating that these controls are effectively implemented and maintained throughout the development lifecycle. Your strong knowledge of Python will be critical for developing scripts and tools that enhance automation and security within the CI/CD pipelines. Additionally, familiarity with cloud security tools like Prisma and experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) will be advantageous as you work to secure cloud environments. Responsibilities

  • Develop customized CI/CD systems in Jenkins and Concourse, with a preference for Concourse.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
  • Strong custom Python knowledge, including storage of values, lookup functions, and dictionaries.
  • Experience with cloud configuration, specifically Kubernetes and Terraform.
  • Expertise in cloud-native engineering.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred experience with Prisma and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
