About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer will be a key member of the C2BMC DevSecOps team, responsible for developing and deploying Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) capabilities. This role involves system administration across multiple environments, software deployment, troubleshooting, and automation within a DevSecOps framework for a critical customer program.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the C2BMC DevSecOps team to develop and deploy Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) capabilities.
• Assist in system administration across multiple environments, including software deployment, troubleshooting, and automation within a DevSecOps setting.
• Utilize leading DevOps practices and tools such as Hashicorp Tools, GitLab CI/CD, Ansible Tower, and Nexus Pro.
• Address systems administration issues related to hardware and software across various network environments.
• Support the deployment of custom software solutions by integrating Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS), Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS), and in-house developed software.
• Propose process improvements for system administration to minimize overall maintenance requirements in collaboration with the design team and manufacturers.
• Determine system requirements, input/output processes, and operational parameters for hardware/software compatibility, as well as maintain system configuration.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve deficiencies in program support.
• Develop and recommend corrective actions to address identified issues.
• Provide technical guidance to database administrators and software developers when needed.

Requirements

• Experience in Linux or Windows System Administration
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell
• Automation experience
• Knowledge of DevSecOps principles
• Experience with Ansible Automation Platform, including Ansible Tower
• Familiarity with HashiCorp Packer and Vault
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD
• Knowledge of Nexus
• Experience in virtualization technologies, including VMware
• Understanding of HP server configuration
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Certification
