About the position

The DevSecOps Systems Engineer at Sciolex Corporation plays a crucial role in enhancing mission operations for the U.S. Government by applying DevSecOps principles and practices. This position involves technical leadership in system integration, user-centric design, and the development of capabilities that improve operational efficiency and security compliance. The engineer will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of DevSecOps methodologies and tools, ultimately contributing to the company's mission of delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and plan new capabilities to support mission operations.
  • Provide technical leadership in applying DevSecOps concepts, processes, and tools.
  • Analyze user needs and develop system requirements through test-driven development.
  • Define CI/CD delivery standards and conventions for quality and compliance.
  • Guide the configuration of CI/CD pipeline setup and resolve technical complexities.
  • Recommend and implement automated solutions to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Build relationships with developers and stakeholders to incorporate security principles into engineering design.
  • Define maturity models to measure and accelerate DevSecOps adoption.
  • Identify and communicate system engineering risks and opportunities.
  • Provide technical support to government points of contact.
  • Communicate effectively with engineers from various contractors and government organizations.
  • Develop briefings for diverse audiences on system engineering concepts.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and nine years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 4+ years of experience with DevSecOps and tools.
  • 2+ years' experience working within the Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Experience with systems development methodologies such as Agile and DevSecOps.
  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies like AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with CONOPS requirements development and technical specification review.
  • Program lifecycle experience from concept development to deployment and maintenance.
  • Self-starter with the ability to address customer requirements with limited supervision.
  • Ability to provide technical direction on digital engineering concepts.
  • Polished communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office tools.
