About the position

The DHS Lead Child Support Case Manager is responsible for independently managing a workload with minimal supervision, ensuring accurate outcomes. This role provides oversight, support, and guidance to Case Managers, while also participating in various administrative and training activities.

Responsibilities

  • Performs program case reviews as required by rule and/or policy.
  • Identifies training needs, develops training plans for staff, provides training directly, and assigns training tasks to Case Managers as appropriate.
  • Acts as a backup for Self Sufficiency Manager, other Lead Case Managers, and Self Sufficiency Case Managers as needed.
  • Participates in state task groups as assigned.
  • Oversees activities for claims, recoveries, fraud, and contempt.
  • Performs necessary ledger adjustments.
  • Performs administrative reviews.
  • Monitors business processes, seeks staff input, and makes recommendations for modifications.
  • Participates in interviews, makes recommendations for hiring; provides input on staff performance including acknowledgements and disciplinary actions.
  • Responds and resolves complaints and conflicts as they arise, seeking manager assistance if needed.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Two years of progressively responsible related experience
  • Must successfully pass a drug screening and background check
  • Any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
