About the position
The Center Island Associate at Di Bruno Bros. plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the quality of prepared food offerings. This position involves interacting with customers, fulfilling food orders, and ensuring that the food displays are well-stocked and visually appealing. The associate is expected to adhere to health and safety guidelines while contributing to a positive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Speak and interact with both new and regular customers
- Take and fulfill prepared foods orders for customers
- Resolve customer issues and answer questions
- Stock hot and cold cases and displays with prepared foods from kitchen, walk-in preparation, and refrigerators
- Assist with merchandising and display of products
- Check product dates to ensure freshness and rotate when necessary
- Assist with periodic inventory checks
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work station
- Follow health and safety guidelines
- Adhere to recipes and presentations for food and beverage items
- Be punctual and able to observe regular and consistent attendance
- Contribute to a positive team environment
Requirements
- One year of food service or food preparation experience preferred
- Availability to work varied hours/days as dictated by business
- A willingness to learn about our brand and our product offerings
- An enthusiasm to communicate with customers and fellow Associates about current offerings and drink options
- Ability to process information/merchandise through computer system and POS register system
- Can multi-task and work well under the pressure of a busy department
- Ability to read, write and count to accurately complete all documentation
- Can move, carry or handle merchandise throughout the store
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and enjoyment of working with people
