About the position

The Digital Innovation (DI) Product Manager at Barry-Wehmiller is responsible for managing the lifecycle of digital products and services that enhance customer experience and equipment performance. This role involves collaborating with various business units to define product scope, manage development projects, and support engineering teams in product direction. The ideal candidate will be energetic, empathetic, and intellectually curious, contributing to a customer-centric team focused on delivering value and improving market offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Define, document, and prioritize product requirements based on customer needs and market trends.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand customer needs and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create go-to-market strategies and marketing collateral.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with business executives, sales, and engineering teams.
  • Share ownership of customer engagement and success for the digital product portfolio.
  • Design and adhere to best practice product management processes and governance.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Maintain a transparent product portfolio roadmap aligned with business requirements and customer value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital product development or program management.
  • 5+ years of experience working with software engineering teams and external customers.
  • Experience in usability and customer-focused designs.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful product strategies.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with PLM, ERP, CRM, CPQ, and Service Management systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in high-tech anthropology or human-centered design.
  • Experience with data management and analytics technologies.
  • Familiarity with portfolio and project management tools.
