The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist I position at Barrett Hospital & HealthCare involves operating ionizing equipment to produce radiographs for diagnostic purposes. Effective communication with patients and the healthcare team is essential, along with adherence to established procedures and the ability to handle emergent situations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate ionizing equipment to produce radiographs of body regions as ordered by licensed medical providers.
  • Evaluate radiographs to acquire appropriate diagnostic information.
  • Use independent judgment to optimize information for each examination performed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
  • Follow established departmental procedures and work efficiently.
  • Navigate emergent situations as they arise.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited 24-month course of study program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Active Certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
  • Active Radiologic Technologist License in the State of Montana with the Board of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Demonstrate evidence of compliance with ARRT continuing education requirements.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
