About the position

The University of Vermont Health Network Radiology Department is seeking a Clinical Radiologist to provide care at its New York hospital campuses, primarily at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh. This role offers a blend of general and subspecialty practice within a supportive environment, emphasizing work-life balance and opportunities for remote interpretation. The position includes responsibilities for diagnostic imaging across various modalities and potential teaching opportunities within a residency program.

Responsibilities

• Interpret diagnostic radiology studies for adult and pediatric patients in areas including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, basic nuclear medicine, fluoroscopy, and mammography.
• Provide interventional skills to support ultrasound- and mammography-guided breast biopsy.
• Participate in a rotating schedule that includes both on-site and remote home-based interpretation.
• Maintain appropriate clinical duties while working remotely, including compliance with licensure and documentation for teleradiology.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with clinical colleagues and contribute to clinical excellence.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree with board certification in Radiology.
• Valid medical license to practice in New York State.
• Experience in diagnostic radiology with proficiency in various imaging modalities.
• Ability to perform interventional procedures related to breast imaging.

• Fellowship training in a subspecialty area of radiology.
