About the position

We are seeking a PRN/Supplemental Radiologic Technologist to join our team in the OR environment. This position offers flexibility, allowing you to work when you are available, with no weekends, nights, call, or holiday rotations. The role requires you to be available to pick up at least one weekday shift a month or as staffing is needed at any of the Ambulatory Surgery Centers throughout Indianapolis. As a technologist, you will be responsible for operating C-Arms for various surgical specialties including Orthopedics, Pain Management, Urology, and Spine procedures, while acting as a liaison between the OR Teams and Imaging Services. You will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures in a timely manner, demonstrating the necessary knowledge and skills to work with patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric. You will follow physician's instructions, prepare and operate equipment, and position patients correctly to record the requested diagnostic images, treating all patients with care and respect.

Responsibilities

  • Run C-Arms for surgical specialties such as Orthopedics, Pain Management, Urology, and Spine procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between the OR Teams and Imaging Services.
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and operate equipment for radiographic procedures.
  • Position patients correctly to record diagnostic images.
  • Treat patients with care and respect.

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography (RT(R)) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a recent graduate of an approved training program in Radiologic Technology (board eligible).
  • If board eligible, must obtain credential in Radiography within 6 months of hire.
  • Current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist or a current ISDH Radiology Student Permit.
  • Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
