About the position

The Biomedical Technician at U S Renal Care Inc. is responsible for ensuring the operational condition, maintenance, and repair of all water treatment and medical equipment in assigned clinics. This role is crucial for maintaining patient safety and supporting the overall functionality of dialysis services. The technician will work closely with clinic administrators and staff to uphold high standards of service and compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operational condition and maintenance of water treatment and medical equipment.
• Assist with purchasing and inventory control, including placing orders and performing inventory counts.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain dialysis machines and related equipment as per manufacturer recommendations.
• Perform water quality checks and safety tests on pretreatment water equipment.
• Collect samples for microbiology and AAMI analysis testing according to protocol.
• Disinfect dialysis machines and water systems according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and support documentation for equipment.
• Address physical environment issues impacting patient and staff safety.
• Participate in staff meetings and continuing education offerings.
• Instruct staff on the use and care of equipment.

Requirements

• Knowledge of water treatment equipment and related mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining medical equipment, particularly dialysis machines.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety protocols in a clinical setting.
• Ability to perform water quality checks and maintain accurate records.
