About the position

The Dialysis Data Coordinator plays a critical role in the Dialysis Department, focusing on various clerical functions to support patient care and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This position is essential for maintaining accurate data, coordinating patient transportation, and managing documentation related to dialysis treatments, all while contributing to a patient-focused culture dedicated to improving health outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data input in EQRS and maintain compliance of care plans.
  • Collect and code data accurately, ensuring at least 90% accuracy as monitored by feedback.
  • Answer phones and respond to staff and patient requests.
  • Schedule appointments and perform registration tasks with accuracy.
  • Maintain the EMR (INFIAN) and ensure accurate census information is up to date.
  • Set up and maintain databases required by regulatory agencies and institutional needs.
  • Track and report antibiotic use and co-morbidities consistently.
  • Submit monthly reports to EQRS and required documents on time with accuracy.
  • Organize, track, and schedule care plans and assessments to assure regulatory compliance.
  • Run reports in the dialysis information system and EQRS as needed.
  • Monitor and correct daily charges crossing from INFIAN to EPIC.
  • Order supplies for the dialysis unit as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate Degree preferred.
  • 1 year previous clerical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong accountability and accuracy in work.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Effective time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with EMR systems, particularly INFIAN and EPIC.
  • Familiarity with dialysis procedures and regulations.
