About the position
Concerto is seeking a Dialysis Nurse to join its team, responsible for supervising dialysis care in compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations. The role involves collaborating with the hemodialysis healthcare team, supervising dialysis technicians, and ensuring the delivery of safe and effective dialysis therapy to patients with end-stage renal disease.
Responsibilities
- Supervise dialysis care in accordance with policy, procedure, and training.
- Provide customer service to patients, families, staff, and physicians.
- Educate patients about renal disease, vascular access, and dialysis therapy.
- Delegate tasks to dialysis technicians for safe delivery of dialysis therapy.
- Monitor and document hemodialysis care according to policy and procedure.
- Perform pre and post treatment assessments and document interventions.
- Assess patient responses to hemodialysis therapy and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Ensure proper handling of lab specimens according to DOT policies.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
- Document all relevant data in the electronic medical record.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Current state appropriate nursing license
- Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience
- Dialysis experience required
- CPR Certification
