About the position

The Die Setter/Press Operator is responsible for setting up and adjusting dies in stamping presses to ensure efficient production runs. This role is crucial for maintaining smooth manufacturing operations, requiring attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and remove dies in stamping presses according to production schedules.
• Ensure that die setups are completed efficiently and safely to minimize downtime.
• Perform die maintenance, including inspecting and cleaning to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to die and press operation.
• Conduct quality checks on parts produced to ensure they meet specifications.
• Work closely with press operators to ensure proper alignment and setup of equipment.
• Follow production schedules and communicate with supervisors about any delays or issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures during all die setting operations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience as a Die Setter or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with stamping presses.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of press operation, die setup, and machine troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on safety.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
