About The Position

The Diesel Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all plant and field equipment, ensuring they remain in operational condition. This role requires collaboration with various departments to meet quality and safety standards, as well as the ability to analyze and resolve mechanical issues effectively.

Requirements

• Experience in maintenance technician roles.
• Proficiency in repair and preventive maintenance.
• Mechanical skills, including refrigeration.
• Diesel mechanic experience.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Capacity to stand and walk for a maximum of 3 hours prior to each break period.
• Ability to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and maintain body equilibrium.
• Strong visual acuity to perceive shapes, sizes, distances, motions, colors, and other characteristics of objects.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant and field equipment in operational condition and perform assigned tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with quality assurance and sanitation departments to meet requirements.
• Conduct constant walk-throughs of the area, shut lines down as necessary, and interpret company policies and safety regulations.
• Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist others in solving mechanical problems.
• Coordinate scheduling with personnel to ensure equipment functions properly.
• Perform all other duties assigned by the supervisor.
