About the position

Anderson Dairy Inc is seeking a mid-level Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Las Vegas. The role involves maintaining and repairing a fleet of commercial trucks, tractors, and trailers, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be able to perform both major and minor repairs, as well as preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform major and minor repairs on Thermo King and Carrier transport refrigeration units.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and quality repairs on diesel trucks, trailers, reefers, and tankers.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to test vehicle components.
• Execute general truck and trailer repairs including differential, brakes, suspension, steering, tire replacement, lights, hoses, belts, batteries, and electrical systems.
• Complete all paperwork accurately, including repair information on work orders.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
• Refrigeration experience is a plus.
• Must have own tools and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work well in a team environment with other mechanics.
• Knowledge of shop equipment is essential.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are required.
• Must maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Detail-oriented with a problem-solving attitude.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and rotating on-call shifts.
• Ability to work in uncontrolled outside environments.
