Responsibilities

  • Responsible for service to, repair of, or replacement and installation, and preventive maintenance of ALL engines, drives, generators, hydraulic and air systems, and any other mechanical equipment associated with ESG GOM Fluids.
  • Troubleshoots and identifies maintenance needs as necessary for all machinery and equipment.
  • Must perform all duties in a safe manner, observing safe work practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment, at all times.
  • Follows preventive maintenance procedures on all mechanical equipment and maintains records.
  • Cleans equipment, and any other areas as needed.
  • Watches for spills, leaks, or sheens around locations and take proper actions if noted.
  • Operates equipment and engines as needed.
  • Maintains proper air / hydraulic pressures.
  • Must follow assigned Maintenance Work Orders.
  • Assists with ensuring compliance with lockout-tagout procedures for any equipment under repair.
  • Ensures that hearing protection is kept available in boxes in the work area.
  • Supervises or performs all transfers of fuel, oil, lubricants, and coolants, and maintains inventory records.
  • Maintains inventory and inventory records, and orders all needed tools, supplies, and parts for the shop.
  • Periodically work away from home base (i.e., offshore, various land locations) and work multiple days away.
  • Reports any problems to the Support Manager.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by the Support Manager.

Requirements

  • EDUCATION: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED): plus two years of experience with similar equipment; or an equivalent combination of education or educational ability and experience.
  • EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years experience in manufacturing/production
  • LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: PEC Basic Safety Certificate, 24-hour HAZWOPER Certificate, First Aid/CPR Certificate, Smith Systems Defensive Driving
