About the position

The Diesel Service Technician position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial vehicles, including motorcoaches and other vehicles. The role requires adherence to safety policies and regulations while providing exceptional service in a supportive work environment that values integrity and excellence. The technician will work primarily during the day shift, with opportunities for overtime and advancement within the company.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain motorcoaches and other vehicles as directed.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, free from hazards and distractions.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local, State, and Federal regulations, including EPA, OSHA, and DOT.
• Document all repairs made on work orders using shop computers and associated software.
• Accurately maintain and track time and attendance.
• Expand knowledge and skill levels needed for effective maintenance and repairs.
• Demonstrate maturity and uphold the company's core values.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience as a gas or diesel technician in a diesel truck or bus service facility or dealership.
• Good organizational skills to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
• Possession of necessary tools to complete assigned responsibilities.
• Experience with interior component repair/replacement.

Nice-to-haves

• ASE Certifications (Preferred)
• Experience with audio/video systems (recommended but not required).
• Willingness to travel for work.
