Responsibilities
- Run diagnostic tests and analyze results.
- Repair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems.
- Working knowledge of engines, transmissions, differential, A/C and suspensions.
- Determine unit condition by conducting inspections & diagnostic tests, identifying deficiencies.
- Able to read schematics for electrical and air systems.
- Develop technical skills through training opportunities.
- Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications; make necessary adjustments if required.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the shop.
Requirements
- A-level Diesel Technician experience
- Ability to perform diagnostic tests
- Knowledge of vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems
- Ability to read schematics for electrical and air systems
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Full complement of tools
Nice-to-haves
- 3+ years of diesel industry experience
- Qualifying credentials for signing bonus
