About the position
The Diesel Mechanic/Technician at Amerit Fleet Solutions is responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of medium to heavy-duty diesel engines. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring vehicles are safe and operational. Responsibilities
- Interact with clients in-person, via email, and phone as necessary.
- Prepare vehicle records and reports both manually and on a computer.
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on vehicles.
- Inspect and perform work on the underparts of vehicles.
- Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance.
- Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare required safety documentation.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic/Technician performing vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Strong experience with medium-duty BIT & DOT Inspections and repairs or an auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school.
- Excellent communication skills and proficient computer skills.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in Diesel engine repair (5 years preferred).
