About the position
The Diesel Technician at Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores is responsible for maintaining and repairing various mechanical systems in a fast-paced environment. This role involves interacting with customers and drivers, ensuring their travel experience is enhanced through quality service and support. The technician will perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and assist with roadside services while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues including wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components.
- Assist customers with roadside services.
- Provide preventative maintenance services.
- Ensure customer safety and satisfaction by complying with company safety policies and procedures.
- Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
- Move and lift 75+ pounds while working in close quarters and various temperatures.
- Obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation.
Requirements
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues.
- Experience in providing roadside assistance.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance services.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (75+ pounds).
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and close quarters.
