About the position
The Diesel Technician at Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores is responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel vehicles in a fast-paced environment. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical issues, providing roadside assistance, and performing preventative maintenance, all while ensuring customer satisfaction and safety. The position requires physical strength and the ability to work in varying temperatures, with a rotating schedule that includes both day and night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues including wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components.
- Assist customers with roadside services.
- Provide preventative maintenance services.
- Ensure safety and satisfaction of customers by complying with company safety policies and procedures.
- Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
- Obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation.
Requirements
- Ability to move and lift 75+ pounds while working in close quarters.
- Ability to work in various temperatures.
