About the position
The Diesel Technician at Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores plays a crucial role in maintaining the functionality and safety of vehicles in a fast-paced environment. This position involves troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues, providing roadside assistance, and performing preventative maintenance, all while ensuring customer satisfaction and safety.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues including wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components.
- Assist customers with roadside services.
- Provide preventative maintenance services.
- Ensure safety and satisfaction of customers by complying with company safety policies and procedures.
- Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
- Move and lift 75+ pounds while working in close quarters and various temperatures.
- Obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation.
Requirements
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues.
- Experience in providing roadside assistance.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance services.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (75+ pounds).
- Ability to work in various temperatures and close quarters.
- Compliance with safety policies and procedures.
