The Diesel Technician position at RP Repair involves servicing heavy-duty trucks both in-shop and on the road. Responsibilities

• Independently complete preventative maintenance services including inspections, fluid changes, and filter replacements.
• Independently complete DOT inspections and associated paperwork.
• Repair or replace standard components including tires, brakes, hoses, belts, lights, hub seals, steering components, air bags, clutches, transmissions, etc.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs.
• Professionally engage with customers and vendors.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

• 2+ years' experience repairing class 8 trucks required.
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting experience required.
• Previous experience completing DOT inspections required.
• Previous experience working at a truck dealership strongly preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced mechanical troubleshooting experience required.
• Previous experience utilizing computer diagnostic software such as Cummins Insite or PACCAR Davie 4 required.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
• CDL preferred.
