About the position
The Diesel Technician at Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores plays a crucial role in maintaining the functionality and safety of vehicles in a fast-paced environment. This position involves troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues, providing roadside assistance, and performing preventative maintenance, all while ensuring customer satisfaction and safety. The role requires physical strength and the ability to work in varying temperatures, with a commitment to adhering to company safety policies.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues including wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components.
- Assist customers with roadside services.
- Provide preventative maintenance services.
- Ensure customer safety and satisfaction by complying with company safety policies and procedures.
- Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
- Obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation.
Requirements
- Ability to move and lift 75+ pounds while working in close quarters.
- Ability to work in various temperatures.
