About the position
ConGlobal is seeking an experienced Diesel Truck Mechanic to assess and repair our fleet of Semi Tractor/Trailers at the Railyard in Chicago, IL. This role involves troubleshooting and maintaining diesel engines and ensuring the operational efficiency of our vehicles. The position offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Identifies problems with mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical systems and executes solutions.
- Reads and understands hydraulic and electrical schematics.
- Troubleshoots and repairs diesel engines (Cat, Cummins, Detroit).
- Performs maintenance and mechanical repairs on Hostlers and Forklifts.
- Maintains routine maintenance schedules on all Tractor Semi/Trailers.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of Tractor Semi/Trailer repair and maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of diesel engine systems, including fuel, electrical, cooling, and exhaust systems.
- Able to perform maintenance inspections that include tune-ups, oil changes, and other key services.
- Able to inspect mileage, belts, flushing fluids, and gasket replacements.
- Hydraulic and electrical maintenance experience is required.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Open availability required (All Shifts & Holidays).
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
- Owning tools is required.
- Valid Driver's License.
